A leading pharmaceutical company was experiencing a sudden rise in Adverse Events reported. They wanted to build a system to trace and inspect individual lots with real-time manufacturing and supply-chain data so they could preempt issues and take corrective action before these drugs are distributed.
Solution Approach
UsefulBI built an intelligent visualization solution that combined data from various systems – ERP, LIMS, Supply Chain Planning to allow the company to trace the genealogy and key KPIs for each individual lot.
The system generated auto alerts when it detected variances between the lot KPIs vs. historical or cross-batch data that helped identify potential issues in real time
Impact
The trace back and alert system provided an intelligent unified view that helped detect the root causes underlying defective lots. This allowed the company to take corrective action before these lots reached end-consumers resulting in a substantial reduction in the number of adverse events reported.
The dashboard shows entire visualization of lot genealogy in a single view. It helps to quickly identify the potential points of failure and holds the manufacturer responsible.
