Python Backend & AWS Integration Engineer

JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Summary:

We are We are looking for a skilled Python Backend Engineer (AWS Integration) with strong expertise in backend application development, AWS service integrations, and scalable distributed systems. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in designing and developing RESTful APIs, integrating AWS services, and building cloud-native backend applications using Python. The role requires a solid understanding of system design principles, scalability, containerization, and cloud architecture.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications using Python
• Develop and integrate RESTful APIs and microservices
• Build cloud-native applications leveraging AWS services
• Design secure and efficient integrations across AWS components
• Collaborate with frontend, data engineering, and DevOps teams to deliver end-to-end solutions
• Design scalable architectures following distributed system principles
• Optimize application performance, reliability, and scalability
• Containerize applications using Docker and support deployment workflows
• Implement authentication, authorization, and secure API practices
• Troubleshoot production issues and improve system performance

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 4–8+ years of experience.
• Strong proficiency in Core Python and backend development
• Hands-on experience with REST API design and development
• Strong experience integrating AWS services including S3, Lambda, EC2, ECS, Glue, Athena, Redshift, RDS, ECR, IAM, Step Functions, DynamoDB, and Amazon Bedrock
• Strong understanding of System Design and distributed architectures
• Experience with Docker and containerized application development
• Knowledge of Vertical Scaling, Horizontal Scaling, Sharding, Caching, and CAP Theorem
• Experience with GitHub, Postman, and Docker Desktop
• Strong understanding of Microservices architecture
• Familiarity with Linux and application deployment
• Experience troubleshooting and optimizing backend applications

Good to Have:

• Strong SQL skills
• Exposure to Generative AI and Large Language Models (LLMs)
• Experience with FastAPI or Flask
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and GitHub Actions
• Experience with Kubernetes (EKS) and Terraform
• Exposure to Event-driven architectures and messaging systems
• AWS Certifications (Developer Associate or Solutions Architect Associate
